Fannie started practicing yoga well before the dawn of the 21st century. She discovered Bikram yoga in 2003 through a friend. At the time, she was working as a copyeditor at The Washington Post. A year later she quit her job, sold her house and went to teacher training at Bikram headquarters in Los Angeles. She began teaching in Richmond in April 2004 and married her husband, Lee, in May of that year. They fell in love over golf. For Fannie, the best thing about teaching yoga, as opposed to copyediting, is that people are always happy about the changes that come from the practice.
When Fannie isn’t teaching or practicing, she travels to fabulous places with her husband and also plays a lot of golf!
